Robert Becker

Chief Operating Officer of Electrical

Bob is the COO of Electrical at Leviton. He brings 21 years of experience in product management, business development, strategy, and operations; Bob is currently responsible for the Residential, Commercial & Industrial, and Lighting & Controls business units, global supply chain, China operations, corporate codes & standards group, and test & quality labs.

The Electrical Division is focused on a diverse portfolio of products that light, power, and connect everyday spaces. Beneficial electrification, targeted verticals for lighting, and filling product voids are all tremendous opportunities to leverage the resources across the Division. Bob expects to drive growth through innovation by focusing on “ease” of installation, set-up, and use; “design” aesthetics, and manufacturability; while remaining focused on safety, quality, sustainability, and service to our customers across the value chain. The combined Electrical Division will also look to streamline operations and processes globally to improve overall profitability.

Bob previously served as the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Residential business unit at Leviton. He joined Leviton in 2003 as the Vice President and General Manager of Leviton Integrated Networks and Controls, where he is credited with consolidating the company’s residential lighting control and structured cabling businesses. Bob assumed responsibility for the Residential BU in 2009, and in 2013 he was promoted to EVP/GM for the Residential BU. Under Bob’s leadership, the Residential BU more than doubled its revenue through new product innovation and product line expansions while improving profitability.

Bob joined Leviton from PRTM, where he was a principal for five years. Prior to PRTM, he held positions in engineering, product management, and business development at Duracell, Alcan, Texas Instruments, and SpecTran Corporation. Bob has served on the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Lighting Board and the Board of Directors for the Continental Automated Building Association (CABA), the Z-Wave Alliance, and Dedicated Devices, Inc.

He received his MBA from Northeastern University and holds a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Rutgers University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
