What are the benefits of a Lever Edge GFCI?
The Lever Edge GFCI offers users a faster, safer method of wiring a GFCI using patent-pending Spring Action Clamp terminals. These unique terminals allow the user to insert the stripped end of a conductor into the terminal and operate the integral lever by hand to engage the spring termination mechanism, which applies secure clamping pressure to the conductor without the use of screws.
The spring action clamp is NOT to be confused with Quickwire™ push-in (stab) or back-wire clamp terminations.

Why is one of the levers on the Lever Edge GFCI blue?
The color-coded levers provide the foundation for quick installation by helping to rapidly identify the correct terminal for wiring. Leviton GFCIs have patented Reset Lockout technology to ensure the device is wired correctly. If the line and load wires are reversed, the GFCI will not reset indicating there is a problem. By having a unique blue lever for the load hot wire, installers can quickly see which connection goes where for a correct installation every time.
Does the Lever Edge GFCI perform a self-test like traditional GFCIs?
